What countries are covered

You can apply for flight delay compensation in cases if:

– you fly within the EU boundaries and the services are provided by EU airline or non-EU airline (in some cases you need to specify when contacting the company you deal with)

– you fly from the EU to one of the EU countries and the services are provided by the EU airline

– there were no benefits paid to you before (for example, aer lingus cancellation compensation) for the current trip under the corresponding regulation of a country outside the EU.

European Union means 28 countries, including Norway, so you can apply for norwegian compensation. The Channel and Faeroe Islands, as well as the Isle of Man, are not included in the list.

When you decide to get a refund for a cancelled flight you should remember that return and outbound flights are not considered as a single flight. Operating air carrier may also differ from the one you have purchased the tickets from.
